WYNNE CONSTRUCTION - MEET THE BUYER EVENT TUESDAY 8TH FEBRUARY 2011, CELTIC ROYAL, CAERNARFON.
Wynne Construction has recently been appointed to carry out the construction a new 450 pupil primary school in Hendre, Caernarfon, Gwynedd as a replacement for the existing school. The new school, which has attracted significant grant funding from the Welsh Assembly Government, is to be constructed to a BREEAM Excellent standard.
Wynne Construction along with Gwynedd Council wish to raise awareness of potential opportunities which they are looking to sub-contract within the project. To this end a Meet the Buyer event is being jointly organised by the Welsh Assembly Government’s Supplier Development Service, Gwynedd Council and Constructionskills who will also be present on the day.
The following sub-contracting opportunities have been identified: Floor screeds, single ply membrane roofing, green roofing, ceilings, partitions, glazing, timber supplies, dry walling, plumbing (sanitary ware and rainwater goods), decoration, wall tiling, floor finishes, signage, cleaners, external rendering, external railings (timber and metal), surfacing (tarmac and soft play), road marking, landscaping, site security.
In order to declare your interest, you should complete and return the Supplier Information form which can be obtained by contacting derwenna.bridle@menterabusnes.co.uk by Friday 21st of January 2011 at the latest. You will then be informed if your business meets Wynne Construction’s minimum quality expectations. If so, you will be directly invited to the event.
Only those businesses who have completed and returned the Supplier Information form and been given a direct invitation to the event, should attend.
Two identical sessions will be run at 9am and 11am at the Celtic Royal, Caernarfon. This will be a good opportunity for prospective sub-contractors to see if they can work alongside Wynne Construction on this contract.
